Stephanie Murray, LISW-CP, Co-Owner

​Stephanie is a Licensed Independent Social Worker – Clinical Practice - who earned both her B.A. degree in Psychology and MSW from the University of South Carolina – Columbia. She has done significant work in the areas of trauma, child grief and loss, anger and anxiety, at-risk behaviors, and family discord. Stephanie is a Certified Clinician and Clinical Supervisor, Project Best (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and trained heavily in Nurturing Parenting, Play Therapy, Cognitive Grief Therapy, and Family Therapy (Cognitive Behavioral, Structural, and Psychoanalytic).

​Stephanie’s specialty is supporting and coaching children, adolescents, and families through obstacles that affect their overall happiness and quality of life. Stephanie's therapeutic approach is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help her clients feel comfortable in starting their journey to a better quality of life. Stephanie’s primary goal is to empower her clients by providing them with the tools and resources necessary to have sustainable, long-term change, so they are not reliant on therapeutic intervention long term.

At home, Stephanie enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family who moved from Rockville, Maryland to Charleston, South Carolina just to be closer to her. Stephanie adores spending time with her 8-year-old sister, 12-year-old brother and her rescue puppy, Siah.

Andrew Steier, LISW-CP, Co-Owner

Andy is a Licensed Independent Social Worker – Clinical Practice who earned his B.A degree in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and a Master of Social Work at the University of South Carolina – Columbia.  He is currently working with area school districts in treating at-risk youth, and he is also a clinical supervisor to a team of therapists.

Andy has worked extensively in the helping profession, primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but he also believes that not all clients fit under this theory-based perspective.  Andy facilitates sessions with an enthusiasm and vigor that is evident by the care he takes in his patients gaining the knowledge they need to move forward. 

Born and raised in Green Bay Wisconsin, Andy moved to the South to enjoy the beautiful weather and cultural charms of the Lowcountry. He has a loving wife and a teenage daughter, and loving animal companions, Peaches the Cat and dogs, Bobby and Chief.

In his spare time, Andy enjoys going to the beach and reading Harlequin romance novels.
